Meet the 1st grade team
Hello! My name is Mrs. Yerger. I am honored to be a teacher at Wickersham Elementary. This marks my 15th year of teaching in the district. First grade is my passion. I enjoy watching my students develop the basic literacy and mathematical foundation needed to succeed in life. I am happy to be a part of that growth.
On the personal side, I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Lancaster Bible College. I am married and have three boys. I enjoy watching movies, reading books, walking and hanging out with family and friends. |
Hi! My name is Mrs. Acevedo. My first experience teaching was in second grade back in 1997. I taught second grade for 6 years in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn, NY. When I moved to Lancaster in 2002, I began working as an Instructional Support Teacher at Octorara Elementary School and then started at Wickersham two years later in 2004 as an Instructional Coach. Four years ago, I made the move back into the classroom as a result of district funding cuts. Although unexpected, the experience of going back into the classroom has been a positive one. It has been a reminder of why I became a teacher in the first place. Teaching is an exciting journey where no class is the same, no student is the same. Every year is different and that is what makes teaching so interesting and so much fun.

Hola! My name is Miss. Morales. I have worked for the School District of Lancaster since 2008. This year marks my 7th year. I have had the opportunity to work in various grade levels and settings (2nd Grade, 2nd Grade Dual Language, ESL 4th and 5th and 1 year in Japan).
This will be my first year as a first grade teacher. Excited for all the new and great experiences this years will offer us! |
